Newfield Exploration Company Grant Presentation

As a newcomer to the Unitah basin, attending the award presentation on January 25 was very inspiring. All the organizations being honored are doing great work in the community, and we're proud to be included in their number. Receiving this generous grant not only ensures that our program will continue in the future, but that we can imagine new opportunities to serve local young people.

We're considering expanding our week-long summer camp to include a weekend trip to Salt Lake City for teenagers, possibly connecting with an Arts-Teens group there. We're also exploring the possibility of sharing the program with groups on the Navajo reservation, who've expressed interest in learning about it.

We're thankful to Newfield and our sponsor Aleesha Mecham for their generosity, and to the Arts-Kids board for grant-writing and administrative support. All this encouragement makes us even more excited about helping the youth of our community build self-esteem and adopt healthy living practices.
