Many visited Arts-Kids face painting booth on June 18th at the 2nd Annual Utah Blues Festival, which was held at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City. It’s was a family friendly event- filled with music and lots fun. Be sure to visit our event gallery and THANK YOU for joining us!

This was a great family event since this is the only Festival in Utah solely dedicated to increasing awareness of a uniquely American musical/cultural art form – Blues music. Arts kids was invited to have a booth to involve the little ones with artistic expression and fun during the concerts. We would like to thank the Utah Blues Society and all those involved in putting together a great festival for letting Arts-Kids feel like part of the family.

This festival is one of a kind and it connects Utahns to a musical genre that has used the American experience as its voice, the Blues! By showcasing national and local Blues artists, as well as a Youth Showcase and Workshops, the Utah Blues Festival provides a unique experience for Utah’s Families to meet, listen and enjoy around this culturally important musical art form, the foundation of all other American music to follow.

Thank you to all the assistants! See you next year!

Arts Kids 4th of July Celebration

Park City's Main Street Independence Day Parade a success

After the day started with an early pancake breakfast in the City Park, a 5k run, sports and live music, the crowd reunited at the Historic Main Street for the Annual 4th of July Parade. Over 70 floats drove down Park City's Main Street, showcasing very creative and patriotic floats. Our float was third in line and we are very proud of the children and volunteers and staff who helped create a fun and festive float.

Our youths decorated the float in patriotic colors and they decided that the sides of the float needed to have a lot "Butterflies" fluttering along. The handmade Butterflies displayed vibrant colors and joy that kids on the float and outside of it loved and enjoyed. The float took two days to complete, with the help of artists, volunteers, Arts Kids students and staff. Thank you to everyone that made this event a success!
