New High School Group at PCHS

A Special Park City High School Arts-Teens Starts August 1st
Arts-Kids and Valley Mental Health are collaborating in a preventative after-school program for students who parents and teachers are VERY worried about.

The Park City High School High-Risk Program is an after-school group for teens who may be experimenting with drugs, hanging out with the “wrong” crowd, or even skipping school. Perhaps a teen has even been suspended, who is about to be suspended.

It happens. As a parent you want to intervene BEFORE your teen gets in trouble with the authorities.

About the Program
  • The program is FREE to all participants.
  • This Arts-Teens group will be held in two six-week blocks from August 1 to September 12 and October 3 to November 14. Attendance on all dates is mandatory with consequences for absenteeism.
  • The Arts-Teens group meets twice a week.
  • Two facilitators, one from Arts-Kids and one from Valley Mental Health, will lead the group. They are specially trained to interact with troubled teens.
  • The Arts-Teens model of FUN expressive arts projects with professional artists will be supplemented by trust-building exercises, leadership development activities, and other group dynamics interactions.
If you are interested in having your teen attend this group, contact Pat Drewry Sanger, Executive Director. 435.615.7878.
